A Kiss

Last week I was walking home from the fireside where the ambassador from Fiji had been our speaker. The evening had been was fantastic. With my stomach full of carrot cake, my hands full of flowers, and my head full of music, I walked out the door of the church with Duane, whom I had just met and who'd done a fabulous job helping us clean up. We strolled toward the A train, talking and laughing and getting to know each other a little bit. As we turned to say goodbye and give the little sideways face kiss thing, it was awkward with all I was carrying and we accidentally did a full-on lip kiss. Or more like our lips sort of giving each other a high-five. "Whoa!" I inadvertently blurted. Hmm, now what to do? What exactly do you say in a situation like that. I did a quick mind-search and took a stab at something. "um, let's try that again," I mumbled. He seemed all right with it. So I gave him a great big sideways kiss cheek thing. "Wow, thanks," he said. Our eyes locked.

Are you sure the "full-on" lip kiss was a mistake!?! Ha ha! LOVE you Lisa!

That sort of reminds me of an experience I had back when I was in college. I went to BYU, and one day I was chatting with a girl in a booth in the cafeteria when another girl suddenly materialized out of nowhere and planted a big one on my cheek! And I mean it when I said she came out of nowhere; I had no idea this was coming until it actually happened. I admit to being sort of embarrassed, but in a very pleasant way, and I have savored the memory of that kiss ever since. Your experience may, in that sense, be similar to my own!
